"I'm a Detroiter now living in Columbus, so why not support a Buckeye who now plays for the Lions?"
"Volunteered for years in a palliative center for children, these families deserve every bit of help they can get, don't take life for granted. "
Childhood cancer is a horrific disease that affects 1 in 285 kids. And yet receives less than 4% of the federal budget allocated to curing cancer. The financial strain that a family undergoes is on average $10,000 per year out of pocket. On top of that, one parent will often have to stop working to care for the child, and if it is a single parent home, this can compound the problem.
My goal is to help ease this financial burden on families, by partnering with the Be Brave Foundation to provide direct financial assistance to families in the Greater Detroit Region. Be Brave Foundation is entirely volunteer run, and has helped hundreds of families since 2014. The founders, Mina & Jeremy Chambers, know first hand the struggle, as their own son was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Leukemia in February 2013. Joshua has touched and inspired so many people around the world, and is the reason I have decided to help tackle childhood cancer with him.
But, I don't want you to just give for the sake of giving, I want to show you my gratitude by giving something back to you. So, we have come up with an awesome reward platform for donors:
Thank you in advance for helping me make a difference in the lives of children in the fight of their lives.
